Rotary Club of Richmond NSW

On June 14th, 1972 Richmond Rotary was chartered by the Rotary Club of Windsor at a function at Windsor RSL. Windsor President was Brian Pulsford, District Governor was Eric Blamey and the man who did all the work and to whom the club is very grateful was the late Past President Geoff Moses. There were twenty three members in Richmond Rotary at Charter. At the time there was a total of thirty five members of Rotary in the Hawkesbury. Today there are approximately one hundred and thirty members in four clubs. The Richmond Rotary Club currently has forty members, has chartered two new clubs, initiated, joined in and assisted with labour in countless local, Australian and overseas projects.

The club has sponsored and hosted students from a dozen overseas countries and hosted young leaders in business to and from at least twenty countries and our members have worked in four Pacific areas. Our most identifiable project is the annual assistance with admission, parking and catering for the Hawkesbury Show, this is a massive undertaking, involving approximately twelve hundred hours of work for Rotarians, spouses, children and friends.

Richmond Rotary Club is also involved in the Shelter Box Program for Rotary District 9690.
